Dee Haddad lived in Michigan, Wisconsin, and New York before moving to New Hampshire in 2000 with her husband and daughter. She is the mother of 3 sons and 1 daughter, with 11 (soon to be 12) grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She considers her family her greatest accomplishment.
Dee has had no formal training in the art field, but after retirement in 2018, she started to participate in an art class at the Pepperell Senior Center once a week and considers teacher Marcia Slater her friend and mentor.
With the constant encouragement of her teacher, family, friends, and other members of the class, Dee continues to paint, working with watercolors, acrylics and oils.
Although she has lived most of her life in the Midwest, the visits to the Atlantic Ocean have inspired her coastal scenes. While she was successful in her professional career, she considers her passion for painting to be the most rewarding. Dee truly believes that if you surround yourself with happy, talented, loving people, you have no choice but to succeed right along with them.
Dee is currently the President of the Hollis Arts Society and a member of the Nashoba Valley Artists Guild and had her first art show in November of 2019. She is currently displaying her artwork in different venues around New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
