About Us
We are a Friendly group of over one hundred volunteers interested in supporting, enhancing and promoting the excellence of this local library. We help out in the areas of "it would be nice but…the money isn't in the budget," or "the staff is already stretched too thin."
Membership does not require a lot of active involvement although we do love to welcome any new helping hands! We:
- Fundraise with our ongoing book sale and annual Trivia Night.
- Subsidize library services and programming including museum passes, concerts, and children's room activities.
- Arrange displays and art exhibits including the ever popular Student Art Show.
- Finance larger gifts and contribute funds for capital improvements.
We wholly depend on contributions generated from annual membership dues, fundraisers and public donations.
